GKKC CLUB MEETING MARCH 28, 2016

The meeting was called to order by Glynis Littlewood, Presi-dent at 7:35 PM.

Members present were: Glynis Littlewood, Charlotte Ryan, Tom Kirstein, Ben Gibbs, Kim Williams, Judy Pinkevich, Brenda Grable, Pam Jones, Darlene Robbins, Dee Wilden-stein, and Karen Riddle.

Guests were; Warren Quinn, Pam Brownlee, Craig Kallus, Darcy Callus, David Richman, Barbara Salberg-Richman.

Minutes were approved as read.

There was not a Treasurer’s report.

Ben did not bring copies of the vendor’s contracts. Mr. Wags has not sent in a contract. Ben will call Mr. Wags about their RV parking and tell him he will have to pay for it.

Glynis asked if anyone wanted to request a certain time for their breed to show.

Glynis has booked the Holiday Inn, Johnson City, for the judges for our May show. She has sent the judges’ hospitality letters.

The judges will have to be transported from the hotel to the show site.

Sign-up sheets will be sent around at the April meeting for people to sign-up to work.

Kim has not checked on the respirators for the police dogs. The Waynesville Kennel Club purchased some of the respirators. The prices were $61/each or $27/each for a larger quantity.

The club members voted on the reinstatement of membership for Warren Quinn. He was voted in unanimously.

There was a 2nd reading of the applications for Sherry and Walter Crossley and Eileen Bailey.

Glynis had advised Eddie Kominek there was no building available at the fairgrounds for our classes in April or May. There was no reply from him even though he had agreed to do the conformation classes.

Judy Pinkevich suggested we should book the fairgrounds for fall classes.

Pam Jones had talked to Dr. Robinson, the show vet, and he said he would do our show for $250/day.

Karen Riddle will do the “Dog’s Ear.” She will do an April is-sue, maybe May and June issues that will include show info and the nominations. In the fall it will be quarterly.

BRAGS—Charlotte Ryan bragged that her Boxer, Lucy, earned a CGC.

Darcy and Craig Kallus’ dog earned a 5-point major

Glynis’ 7-month old Irish Wolfhound in California went WB and BOS at an Arizona show.

Being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:10 pm.
