June 2024 General Meeting Minutes

Greater Kingsport Kennel Club General meeting was held on June 24, 2024, at the Gray Community Chest in Gray and called to order at 6:33 PM by President, Andrew Moore.

General members present were Andrew Moore, DeAnna Moore, Ben Gibbs, Rhonda Gibbs, Karen Dooley, David Richman, Barbara Salberg-Richman, Julie Webster, Brian King, Pam Jones, Dannie Lee, Joy Ellis, Diane Sobel-Meyer, Jean Ponstingle, Pam McDonald, Diane Bauman, Donna Hamm, Valda Currier, Vicky Pinto, Joe Currier, Curt Zeiger, Brenda Grable, Kimberly Williams, and Judy Pinkevich.
Visitors present were Christina Mack, Megen Mosier, Kimberlly Hock, Randy Limitone, Lorrie Geyer-Limitone, and Linda King.

06/03/24 general meeting minutes were read and approved as read.

The following applications were read for the second time: Tina Mack, Kimberly Hock, Megen Mosier, Randy Limitone, and Lorrie Geyer-Limitone.

The report of the treasurer was presented.

Pam Jones provided an update on the judges committee and the judges they intend to invite to judge the 2025 and 2026 conformation shows. Both a trophy and grooming chair is needed for the 2025 show.

The annual picnic will be on 07/22/24 @ 6:00 PM at the Gray Community Chest. Members are encouraged to bring side dishes and desserts. The main entree will be supplied by the GKKC. Contact for AKC reunite will do a presentation at this meeting.

Brian King read the following nominations for the 2024-2025 board:
President – Diane Bauman
First Vice President – Joy Ellis
Second Vice President – Pam Miller
Treasurer – Karen Dooley
Secretary – Carrie Kruska
Corresponding Secretary- David Richman
2-year Board Term (odd year, so not voted on) – Julie Webster
2-year Board Term (odd year, so not voted on) – Brian King
2-year Board Term (even year) – Donna Hamm
2-year Board Term (even year) – Brooke Salyer
1-year Board Term (past president) – Andrew Moore

Since there were no nominations from the floor at the general meeting in May (held 06/03/24), Andrew Moore made a motion that the new slate of officers be accepted by acclamation. Rhonda Gibbs seconded the motion. The motion passed with a unanimous vote.

Membership applications were unanimously accepted by secret ballot for Tina Mack, Kimberly Hock, Megen Mosier, Randy Limitone, and Lorrie Geyer-Limitone.

Meeting adjourned at 7:03 PM.
