Minutes from the GKKC meeting held on March 23 2015
Members in attendance: Glynnis Littlewood, Darlene Robbins, Tammy Elliot, Janice Peletti, Brenda Grable, Karen Riddle, Kimberly Williams, Trudy Price, Ben Gibbs, Judy Pinkevich, Cindy Hintz, Gayle Green
Guests attending were the Smith Family and the Wedding Family
Meeting called to order at 7:35 after a pot luck dinner with wonderful food provided by members and Tammy and Garry Elliot
Minutes from the Dec 2014 and Jan 2015 read Approved by Darlene Robbins seconded by Tammy
Elliot.
Guests were welcomed, Faith and Jeremy Smith and children and Angela and Sierra Wedding and children. Both families are owners of German Shepherds.
Treasurers report was read by Gayle Green and approved as read
Committee reports:
Spring show; Glynnis Littlewood asked that committee people would let her know that they were committed to the assignments that had been given
Judges report: We need two more conformation judges for out 2016 show and one more obedience judge
Darlene reported that the scouts, security and the Sweet Adelines were all set for the show. She will contact the police department and EMS a little closer to show date
Ben Gibbs will have a new sign made by Express signs of Kingsport for the trophy table. The new logo will be in place and the cost of the sign will be $140.84 approved by the club
Gayle will try to have new stationary and note cards printed with the new logo for the club.
New business: The good sportsmanship award given by the club will now be applied for with AKC rather than just given. We can have the previous names of members who recieved the good sportsmanship award through the club put on the AKC web site. Rhonda GIbbs may have received a letter from AKC with the information about the award.
The information regarding the changes to the By-laws will be tabled until we get more information from AKC
Janice Pelitti had a brag. Her 7 1/2 month old Rottweiler won a 5 point major at a specialty and won the sweepstakes class the day before. Congratulations to Janice and her puppy.
