Greater Kingsport Kennel Club Board meeting was held on April 24, 2023, at the Gray Community Chest and called to order at 5:54 PM by President, Ben Gibbs.
Board members present were Ben Gibbs, Rhonda Gibbs, Katie Smiley, Brenda Grable, Carrie Kruska, Andrew Moore, Barbara-Salberg Richman, and David Richman
The treasurer’s report was approved as presented.
Andrew Moore discusses the GKKC President’s signature is needed and a check for UTCVM to move forward with the $1,000 a year scholarship. This scholarship will go through the 2027-28 school year for the recipient.
Discussion of streamlining and updating the GKKC application process moves forward with voting on GKKC membership application changes. The 1st motion by Ben Gibbs and 2nd motion by Andrew Moore.
Membership applications for Diane Sobel-Meyer, Jean Postingle and Joy Ellis were approved by the Board for voting by the General Membership.
The available venues for the upcoming GKKC Agility Trial in October were discussed.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:25 PM.
