The Greater Kingsport Kennel Club Board meeting was held on August 19,
2024 at Poblano’s Mexican Grill in Johnson City, TN and called to order at
6:00 PM by President Diane Bauman.

Board members present were Diane Bauman, Joy Ellis, Andrew Moore,
Pam Miller, Donna Hamm, Brooke Salyer, Brian King, Julie Webster and
David Richman.

A list of RECOMMENDATIONS FOR GKKC was passed out. This list was
compiled from suggestions that were submitted by club members as items
that might be addressed during the upcoming year.

Suggestion for more guest speakers….
Sept. Meeting will have a presentation on Sled Dogs
Oct. meeting will have a presentation by Chain Free Greeneville

Discussed the membership process and how to speed up the Boards part
in this.

Discussed recommendation on having a manual as a guide for committee
“Chairs”.

Discussed getting more juniors interested.

Discussed the possibility of having “apprentices” on some committees
who may want to become familiar with the tasks that are necessary
perform the committee jobs.

Diane to contact Tony at Gray Community Chest regarding upcoming
lease for clubs meeting space.

Meeting adjourned at 7:20 PM.
