Greater Kingsport Kennel Club general meeting Monday, January 28, 2019 at Appalachian Fairgrounds called to order at 7:00 PM by President, Ben Gibbs.
Members present were Ben Gibbs, Rhonda Gibbs, Barbara Salberg-Richman, David Richman, Pam Miller, Brenda Grable, Karen Dooley, Andrew Moore, DeAnna Moore, Pam Jones, Judy Pinkevich, Pierce Massey, Joe Currier, Val Currier, Kim Williams, Tom Kirstein, Julie Webster, Charlie LeBlanc, Jan LeBlanc, and Cindy Hintz

General meeting minutes from December 18, 2018 approved as read.
Very little change in Treasurer’s report from 11/26/2018.
May conformation show chair reported the following: There will be CERF eye exams on Saturday for $40/dog, need a vendor chair, and draft premium is at AKC. Questions and discussion around overnight unattended crating for dogs at the Fairgrounds.
Barbara Salberg-Richman made a motion that no overnight crating be permitted at the Fairgrounds in the buildings. Andrew Moore seconded the motion. 18 members agreed, 2 opposed, and none abstained. Motion passed.
Scent work chair reported the approved premium for the Scent work trial on March 30-31 will be out soon.
Obedience and Rally chair reported there will be 3 rings on May 17 and volunteers are needed.
Applications for Diane Bauman, Robert Potter, Michelle Kruger, Kendalyn Kruger, and Jesse Kruger were read and secret ballots cast for electing them as members. All were unanimously approved for membership.
