May 28, 2018 general meeting minutes approved as read.

Treasurer’s report was accepted as presented.

May show income was discussed. MBF contract will be signed for a 3 day show for 2019. Obedience and Rally judges are hired for 2019, and 2020 judges have been contacted.

The nominating chair read the new slate of officers for the 2018-2019 year:

President – Ben Gibbs
First Vice President – Brenda Grable
Second Vice President – Pam Miller
Treasurer – Kim Williams
Recording Secretary – Darcy Kallus
Corresponding Secretary – Rhonda Gibbs
2 Year Board – Pierce Massey
2 Year Board – Valda Currier
2 Year Board – Barbara Salberg-Richman (1 year remaining)
2 Year Board – Trudy Price (1 year remaining)
1 Year Board – Sherry Crossley

Since there were no nominations from the floor at the general meeting in May, Rhonda Gibbs made a motion that the new slate of officers be accepted by acclamation. Joe Currier seconded the motion. The motion passed with a unanimous vote.

The treasurer reminded members to pay their dues.

New member applications for Andrew Moore and DeAnna Moore were read for the 2nd time.

The president stated that Eileen Bailey resigned from GKKC and therefore; there will be no Rhodesian Ridgeback supported entry for 2019.

The show chair mentioned that better signage is needed for exhibitors, especially regarding grooming. Also, poop disposal buckets and signage is needed in dog walking areas.

The picnic will be on 07/23 @ 6:00 at Bay’s Mountain shelter #28 (same one as last year).

Parking fees were discussed.

Boy Scout duties and contract were discussed. They didn’t show up on Sunday and had to be called and asked to show up. They didn’t pick up poop and the fairgrounds complained about it. Darlene Robbins to contact Boy Scouts and discuss duties and a reduced fee, since they are not working obedience and the fairgrounds also removed some of their duties. Darlene will bring the revised amount back to the club along with a proposed contract. The club will decide if the Boy Scouts will be used in 2019, or if another group will be used.

Fairest of the Fair presented trophies for 2018 and will be asked back for 2019, since it was such a huge success with exhibitors and judges.

Meeting adjourned at 7:45 PM

Rhonda Gibbs, Acting Recording Secretary
