Greater Kingsport Kennel Club Board meeting Monday, November 26, 2018 at Appalachian Fairgrounds was called to order at 6:00PM by President, Ben Gibbs.

Board members present Ben Gibbs, Rhonda Gibbs, Brenda Grable, Pierce Massey, Pam Miller, Val Currier, Kim Williams, Trudy Price, Darcy Kallus, Barbara Salberg-Richman and Sherry Crossley.

Minutes for July 23, 2018 approved as presented.

Treasurers report approved as presented.

New membership applications for Karen Dooley and Katie Smiley were read and the board unanimously approved them to be recommended for general membership.

Several options for the $50,000 CD were discussed. The board voted to recommend to general membership that a ladder approach be taken, where $10,000 would be invested for 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 years. Long term goals for the club were discussed and it was mentioned that we should look for land we can purchase to build a club house on and hold events.

Meeting was adjourned at 6:49 PM.
