Greater Kingsport Kennel Club general meeting held, Monday, November 25, 2019, at Appalachian Fairgrounds, was called to order at 7:01 PM by Vice-President, Trudy Price.
Members present were: Rhonda Gibbs, Ben Gibbs, Kim Williams, David Richman, Barbara Salberg-Richman, Brenda Grable, Pam Jones, Judy Pinkevich, Val Currier, Joe Currier, Carrie Hodges, Sheila Leonard, Julie Webster, Katie Smiley, Andrew Moore, Sandy Alexander, Trudy Price, Karen Riddle, Darcy Kallus via mobile phone, Craig Kallus, Karen Schavrien, Ron Schavrien, Robert Potter, Diane Bauman, Pam Miller and Tom Kirstein.
Visitors present were: Lyn Hyman, Pamela Bradbury, Phyllis Portera prodgers1951@yahoo.com, and Greg Rodgers prodgers1951@yahoo.com.
General meeting minutes from October 28, 2019, were read and approved.
Treasurer’s report was accepted and approved as presented.
Karen Riddle discussed the Johnson City Animal Control ordinance of Mandatory Spay and Neuter policy, licensing with the Animal Control Board, and AKC recommendations concerning proposed ordinance via letter at the November JC Commission Meeting.
Discussion of possible suggestions for donation of excess GKKC budget funds.
2nd reading of membership for Stacey and Jonathan Hubbard, Chris and Jane Bowman, and Lindsey McCurry.
1st reading of membership for Mitch and Cherrie Fishlowitz, Pamela Bradbury, and Donna Hamm.
Discussion concerning difficulty of hearing in current meeting location. The motion was made for GKKC to purchase a portable PA system(microphone). Diane Bauman volunteered to assist in researching this issue. Val Currier made 1st motion and Sandy Alexander made 2nd motion. Motion approved.
Our next club meeting will be December 4th, 2019, at the Chop House in Kingsport for the annual Christmas Party.
