November 2024 GKKC General Meeting Minutes
GKKC General Meeting on November 25, 2024, was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by President Diane Bauman.
Members present: Brenda Grable, Jean Ponstingle, Diane Sobel-Meyer, Karen Dooley, Lorrie Geyer-Limitone, Randy Limitone, Donna Hamm, Brian King, Debbie Sullivan, Julie Webster, Vicky Pinto, Judy Pinkevich, Karen Riddle, Kim Williams, Val and Joe Currier, Pamela Bradbury, Pam Miller, Carrie Kruska, Brooke Salyer, Joy Ellis, Andrew and DeAnna Moore, Curt Zeiger and Pam Jones.

Minutes of the October 28th meeting were read and approved.
Karen Dooley gave the Treasurers report.
Our Meeting began with a Dog Performance Program, including a panel of judges for the following performance events: 1. Kim Williams, AKC FETCH Judge offering Novice/Intermediate Fetch Dog Tests @ CIA Dog Training in Fall Branch on December 28, 2024. 2. Curt Zeiger, AKC Scentwork Judge 3. Andrew Moore, NADD (North America Diving Dogs) Judge
David Richman, who requested to be removed from the Corresponding Secretary position will be replaced by Curt Zeiger by a unanimous GKKC Board decision.
Committee Sign-Ups were made available at the November General Meeting for those interested in serving on a committee.
Committee Reports:
Brenda Grable, Obedience Chair reports the Obedience Judges for 2025 have been confirmed and contracts are in hand. In addition, 9 people are needed for Friday, May 16, 2025, for the Obedience/Rally Show. Brenda reports that an Obedience Co-Chair will be needed for 2025 and an Obedience Chair will be needed in 2026.
Pam Jones, Conformation Show Chair, reports concessions and the hotel block for May Conformation Show have been confirmed. New Terrier Group judge will be needed for May 2025 Show. An eye clinic will be offered on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at a rate of $45 for Members and $50 for non-members.
Agility Chair, Brian King, discusses October 11, 12 & 13, 2025 Agility Trial to be held at Three Bulls Farm which will consist of (2) rings and (1) judge. It is proposed Agility Gate App will be used and a Match will be offered. January 11, 2025, will be the next Agility Committee meeting at Val Currier’s home in Rogersville.
The GKKC Christmas party will be held at Mulligan’s Irish Pub in Johnson City on December 3rd at 6pm. Appetizers will be provided by the club.
